WENLOCK SPRING WIN THREE NATIONAL AWARDS!

WENLOCK SPRING WIN THREE NATIONAL AWARDS!

A Shropshire company that bottles and supplies natural spring water to businesses, wine bars, restaurants, delicatessens, cafes, wholesalers and wine merchants throughout the UK, is celebrating after receiving three industry awards for their new glass bottled spring water range.

Church Stretton based Wenlock Spring was presented with the awards at the recent British Bottlers Institute (BBI) Competition for Waters and Soft Drinks 2009 Gala Awards Dinner held at the Vintners Hall in London. The BBI presented the company with a Gold Award for the excellent taste of its sparkling water, a Diploma Award for the taste of its still water and a Gold Award for the excellent presentation of its glass bottle range.

Wenlock Spring’s water is drawn and bottled at source from a naturally protected and totally sustainable source beside Wenlock Edge; a limestone escarpment created 400 million years ago; where it is pumped directly to the bottling hall through stainless steel pipes.

Commenting on the awards, Matthew Orme at Wenlock Spring, said: “To receive these accolades from such a prestigious industry organisation as the BBI is an honour and a reflection of the hard work we put into maintaining the standard our customers expect from a quality product. It is also a great boost in the current economic climate and will take us into 2010 and the next decade with increased confidence.”

The  Wenlock Spring still and sparkling waters are available in recyclable glass bottles as 330ml, 750ml and one litre sizes or plastic (PET) bottles as 500ml, 500ml (sports cap), one litre, 1.5 litre and two litre sizes.  Click here to email for further details.
