Wenlock Spring were delighted to support the Hospitality Apprenticeship Awards by sponsoring the 'Chef Apprentice of the Year  2011'.

On Tuesday 18th October, the Hospitality Skills Alliance teamed up with leading Awarding Body EDI, and other industry partners, to announce the lucky winners of the Hospitality Apprenticeship Awards 2011.

Andre Rhone of London's Royal Garden Hotel, was prized 'Chef Apprentice of the Year 2011'. As part of his training, Andre attended the University of West London.

Andre will now join Wenlock Spring for a two day visit to Ludlow Food Festival, including an overnight stay at Fishmore Hall in Ludlow. Ludlow Food Festival was Britain's first successful food and drink festival, when it started back in 1995. It has grown considerably since then, with large numbers of visitors from across the UK and from overseas attending. It has become the must-attend event of the food and drink calendar and a celebration of top quality, local produce. Andre will also receive a certificate for himself and his employer, together with membership of the Craft Guild of Chefs and a bottle of Champagne Gosset. Bragard Clothing  have also donated him a Commemorative Final Chef's jacket.
