Metaltek Engineering Solutions are very proud to officially announce the formation of the Metaltek-Scott Professional Cycling Team. Although being completely new, the team has attracted some of the biggest names in UK cycling, along with some fantastic sponsors and suppliers - the team will look to be a serious threat to the already established UK outfits.

Rachel Paling, Metaltek-Scott Commercial Manager commented; “As our riders are elite athletes, it is essential for them to stay hydrated using the highest quality products to help achieve the best performance. Therefore it made sense to choose Wenlock Spring due to the quality and purity of the water, as well as their responsible attitude to the environment. We are proud to be supported by a British award winning company in the Olympic year of 2012 and assist them in promoting the importance of drinking water."

Andy Swain, Metaltek-Scott Team Manager commented; "This team has been in the making for a few months now and a lot of people have put in a great deal of hard work to get us to this point, this is just the beginning. We are realistically ambitious and will grow the team at the pace necessary to be successful. The team of riders include a wealth of experience and talented young riders. They have been individually handpicked from the huge amount of interest we received and we are exceptionally pleased to have attracted some of the best riders in the UK. I believe this is due to our honest fresh approach, sponsors and our determination to succeed."

National and International Ambitions for Metaltek-Scott

The team will be targeting British Cycling's Premier Calendar and Elite Circuit Series and National Championships in Road, Circuit, Team Trial and Team Pursuit disciplines. Rides for the An Post Ras and other European races, have also been discussed for the team. Throughout all of the races Wenlock Spring will be the team's official water sponsor.
